The Book of Spring
by. T. A. Houseman
Winter yawns and stretches
Side to side it turns its head
Where shall I settle down?
Won’t be hard to find a bed.
Very soon, springtime will follow
Will come forth to center stage
Flowery, lively expressions
Will come forth on every page.
Yes every page in the Book of Spring
Happy thoughts, new life, pretty birds that sing
The seasonal poet will expound on now
He’ll go on several months, then he’ll take his bow!
